LG is all ready to introduce its new Android smartphone Optimus Z in South Korea with SK Telecom. LG reported worse-than-expected earnings for the April-June period on Wednesday. Now, it faces a daunting task of producing a blockbuster smartphone to turn around its mobile communication division.
The 3.5-inch display clad Optimus Z will become available starting Friday, while KT, the other major telecom carrier in South Korea will also be launching the device in August.
Optimus Z is powered by 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and will be sold in 800,000 won (US$674) range.
