South Korean telecom operator SK Telecom and Samsung have planned to hold an Android Application Development Festival in September this year.
The companies held a conference on 27 August in this regard, the Korea IT Times reported. The Festival will see participation of about 90 development teams and the companies will provide KRW 325 million in prize money.
SK Telecom has also collaborated with Google to support Android app development in South Korea by establishing Open Innovation Center.
To remind you, SK Telecom was the first telecom carrier to introduce Android phones in the country.
