Huawei has launched its cheapest Android 2.2 smartphone “Ideos” in Singapore. This smartphone will be available in Singapore in the fourth quarter of this year from operators and at any large IT chain store. The company has not revealed the price right now, but expect it very budget friendly [Check out Budget friendly Android phones comparison].
“The IDEOS has been designed and priced to lower the barriers to entry to allow easy mobile Internet access,” said Alex Jiang, president of Huawei Device in the Asia Pacific.
Huawei Ideos runs Android 2.2 [Froyo], features a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen, 528MHz processor, 3.2MP camera, brightness, proximity and accelerometer sensors built in, and MicroSD storage.
