LG today launched its much anticipated Optimus series Android phones – Optimus Chic and Optimuc One. Running on Android 2.2, both the devices come with 3.2inch HVGA touch screen and 600 Mhz processor.
In the Digital Press Conference today, LG said, it expects to sell 10 million units of Optimus One smartphone across the world, which will be distributed globally through some 120 carriers and will be available in 90 countries from October.
“Optimus One is the result of our efforts to introduce a million-seller product, and for this, some 500 engineers from LG and Google have worked together since late last year,” LG said in a statement on Tuesday.
LG Optimus One:
Talking in details about the smartphone, it is targeted to the entry-level smartphone market and comes with a 3MP camera, 170 MB of internal memory with microSD card support and 1500 mAh battery.
LG Optimus One also includes uniquely designed LG UI with the exclusive LG App Advisor, which recommends 10 highly rated applications every two weeks.
LG Optimus Chic:
Also targeted to entry-level smartphone segment, it comes with 5MP camera, 150 MB of internal memory with microSD card support, DLNA Compatibility and 1250 mAh battery.
LG Optimus Chic will be available in Europe starting in November with other markets in Asia-Pacific to follow soon after.
