The popularity of the Android OS is on a constant rise. Or that is what data from Changewave seems to suggest. According to the latest survey reports, the number of people looking to buy an Android device has increased to 37% as compared to 30% in the June 2010. In contrast, there is a decline in the fans of iOS devices, the numbers falling from 50% in June to 38% in the current survey.
Though it is only a 7% rise, the numbers translate into a six-fold increase in the Android consumer preference over a period of last one year.
The Changewave survey of September 2010 was conducted among a sample size of 4000 smart phone owners and would-be owners and the survey was completed on September 23.
