After launching two anticipated Android devices Optimus 2x and Optimus Black in India, LG is preparing to launch its 3D Android smartphone next month. Optimus 3D, which was released at Mobile World Congress, sports a glasses free 3D display and dual camera to shoot 3D content.
“The Optimus 3D phone will have two cameras that will allow users to create their own 3D content. The phone also does not require any special glasses to view the content,” Vishal Chopra, Business Head, Mobile Communication, LG told Business Standard.
Company is also planning to manufacture the smartphones at its Pune unit. Currently the unit eight million handsets including features phones, but it wants to ramp up production to will ramp up production to 10 million units by 2011-end.
