Opera Mini 7 browser now available for the taking in Google Play Store

Opera Mini 7 has been released for devices running Android 1.5 and up. The latest version of the mobile web browser brings along with it several new features, including OpenGLES hardware and NFC Beam support for devices running Android 4.0. The update also improves the Speed Dial start page, tab management and the “find-in-page” UI.

The Opera Mini browser is just one of the many options available to Android users for browsing web pages. I’m personally a big fan of the Stock ICS Browser and have recently been using Chrome Beta. I’m not sure that this is enough to make me stray from what I already love, but there are many people in the community who use Opera as their go-to browser, so this will surely please that crowd.

Opera Mini’s goal is to provide users with speed and efficiency, while reducing data costs by up to 90% with its unique compression technology. If you’d like to check it out for yourself, I’ve included a link to the app on Google Play below, followed by the full press release.
