As we reported yesterday, LG has announced two new Optimus series smartphones today in Mumbai. The first of the two is also company’s first quad core smartphone, which will soon be available in stores countrywide for INR 34,990.
On the other hand, Optimus L5 is a mid-range phone and has been priced at INR 13,199. It comes with 4-inch HVGA display, Android 4.0, 800 MHz Processor, 5MP auto-focus camera with flash, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 32GB expandable memory with microSD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, aGPS and 1500mAh battery.
Coming back to Optimus 4X HD, the smartphone features 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) True HD IPS display, 1.5GHz Quad-core Tegra 3 processor, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash support. It also comes with 1.3MP secondary camera, 16GB internal memory, 1GB LP DDR2 RAM and 3.5mm audio jack.
Other features include, 3G, Wi-Fi with DLNA , Bluetooth, aGPS, HDMI via MHL, NFC and 2,150 mAh battery.
The pricing of both the smartphones is pretty much expected, but L5 does disappoint on the screen resolution front. Anything less than WVGA on a 4-inch display is just crappy.
