Lava has announced the launch of a new smartphone series in India. Dubbed as IRIS, it will include budget Android devices; the first smartphone of the series N350 is now available in the country.
Priced at INR 5,499, the smartphone is available for as low as INR 4,399 on deals website Snapdeal.com but is currently sold-out.
Lava IRIS N350 features 3.5-inch HVGA display, 1GHz processor, Android 2.3.6, 2MP rear camera, and 0.3MP front camera.
The smartphone is also dual-SIM and comes with capacitive display. Although the phone seems decent on paper, missing Ice Cream Sandwich is certainly a downside.
“Lava International is entering the smartphone arena with its ‘Smart’ offering Lava IRIS. Lava intends to launch a host of exciting smartphones under its flagship brand Iris which promises superiority in not just the technical aspects but be smart on the wallet as well. The Iris brand is designed to give a ‘richer experience’ to its user and promises a complete customer delight,” company noted in a press release.
