Samsung India has sent out invites for a press event on January 22 to launch “the newest Galaxy” smartphone in the country. While the invite as such does not reveal which smartphone we are going to see at the launch, but blogosphere is abuzz with reports of Galaxy Grand unveiling.
Right now, there are two smartphones that can be expected to be revealed at the event – Galaxy Grand or Galaxy S III Mini. Both part of mid-range segment, will be most likely carrying price tags around INR 20-25K.
To remind you, Samsung Galaxy Grand comes with Android 4.1.2, 5-inch WVGA display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage and 2,100 mAh battery. The phone comes in both single SIM and dual SIM variants, but it is very possible that we are going to see the debut of dual-SIM version in the country.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S III Mini features Android 4.1, 4.0-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 8/16GB ROM, 1GB RAM, microSD to 32GB, 1,500 mAh battery and dual-core 1GHz CPU.
So, which one of the two, do you want Samsung to unveil at the press event, or both?
