Samsung has officially announced Galaxy Note 8.0 today. The 8-inch Note series tablet will company’s growing number Note devices that come with a stylus and a creative suite of apps.
Just hours before the official unveiling of Mobile World Congress 2013, Samsung has revealed its first 8-inch tablet, which is also its biggest phone till date (yes, Note 8.0 has voice-calling over GSM capabilities). Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 will go on sale in select markets beginning second quarter of this year.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 features 1.6GHz Cortex A9 quad-core processor, 8-inch WXGA display and Android 4.1.2. The tablet also comes with 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 2GB RAM, 16/32GB of internal storage and microSD card support. There is also a 4600 mAh battery, IR Blaster, and full suite of S-Pen experience apps and content features that we have last seen in Note 2.
Company has also pre-loaded two third-party apps Flipboard and Awesome Note, which is exclusively debuting on the device. Samsung also notes that users will now be able to control the capacitive back and menu buttons using S-Pen on Note 8.0.

There is no word on pricing of the tablet.
