XOLO has announced the launch of X1000 Android smartphone at a press event in Goa minutes ago. This is the third smartphone from the company to come with an Intel chip inside and will join X900 and X500 in the company’s X-series.
According to XOLO, the smartphone has been priced at INR 19,999 and will be available in the last week of March. Flipkart has already started selling the smartphone, although it will be released in retail market beginning March 20.
As we reported few hours ago, XOLO X1000 features a 4.7-inch 720p curved glass display, 2GHz Intel Atom Z2480 processor, 8MP camera and 1900 mAh battery. The phone runs on outdated Android 4.0 and this is certainly a downside to the phone, when we are seeing so many Jelly Bean powered phones available in the Indian market. XOLO itself has two Jelly Bean smartphones in its portfolio in the form of recently launched Q800 and A1000.
The Intel processor in X1000 is based on Medfield Platform, which is actually a generation old and Intel has already announced its successor Clover Trail+ platform.
Among other features, XOLO X1000 also packs 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 3G, and 1900 mAh battery.
“Our partnership with Intel continues. With the first XOLO device X900 in April last year, we redefined speed and performance by bringing in the first 1.6GHz Intel HT based smartphone to the world. Earlier this year, with XOLO X500, we bought this high-speed smartphone experience into the sub 10K price segment. Now, with XOLO X1000 and its 2Ghz Intel HT processor, the customers will get to experience an entirely new definition of speed and performance. That, added to the stunning looks of this smartphone, is sure to take the breath away of our ever-growing tribe of XOLO lovers,” Vishal Sehgal, Co-founder & Director, Lava International said.
To remind you, XOLO currently sells seven other Android smartphones in the country.
