Seen just last month in Chrome Beta, the password sync support has now landed in the stable Chrome for Android app along with a few other goodies. The new Chrome of Android update also brings autofill entries sync.
“You can now access your saved passwords and autofill entries on your phone and tablet when you’ve signed in to Chrome, just like you have been able to do on your desktop and laptop computers,” Chris Hopman, Eidetic Engineer, Google noted in a blog post.
Here is the full change-log of Chrome for Android v26.0 update:
- Password and autofill sync: Access saved desktop passwords and autofill entries from your Android device
- Fix for blank page loads in some scenarios
- Several stability improvements
- This version requests two new permissions, Camera and Modify Audio Settings, to support WebRTC, an experimental feature under development.
