Flickr releases revamped Android app in Google Play

Flickr for AndroidAlong with the web version redesign, Yahoo has also released the updated Flickr Android app in Google Play. The updated version works with both smartphones and tablets.

“With smartphones in our pockets at all times, we’re all photographers on a daily basis. That’s why we’re also excited to launch new version of the Flickr app for Android phones and tablets. Similar to the iPhone app we launched in December, the new Flickr for Android maintains your photos’ original quality, so every image you take, edit, share, or view on your phone or tablet looks spectacular,” Marissa Mayer, CEO of Yahoo!, wrote in a blog post.

The updated Flickr app also supports ten languages, so, if you are lucky you will be able to use in in your mother tongue.

“Our brand new Android app pushes the boundaries on beauty even further. We designed it with your needs in mind: how you interact, how you share, and how you view photos when you’re on the go,” noted Markus Spiering, Product Head, Flickr.
