Looks like Asus isn’t done with Computex just yet. The company CEO Jerry Shen today took the stage at Qualcomm keynote to reveal an upcoming tablet with Snapdragon processor and LTE connectivity.
There is no word on which Snapdragon processor the company is planning to use in the tablet, but we would put our money on Snapdragon 800.
Jerry Shen also noted that the tablet will be coming in Q3 of this year and will pack full HD display. He promised to share more details at the launch event, which will be happening sometime in the fall.
Engadget speculates that it might be a variant of Asus’s just announced Memo Pad FHD 10, but we won’t know for certain until the official unveiling.
Update: Engadget was right and Asus has confirmed to them that the mysterious tablet is indeed a LTE version of Memo Pad FHD 10 and will be called as Memo Pad FHD 10 LTE.
Here is what Shen said during his brief appearance at Qualcomm keynote:
“In Q3 of this year, we will raise the bar of mobile devices by launching an incredible LTE tablet, which will have Qualcomm Snapdragon, full HD display and ASUS SonicMaster to bring our consumers the most superior and seamless mobile experience. I will save the rest for our launch event in the fall.”
