When Samsung announced the new Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch yesterday, it didn’t reveal anything about the processor inside. Thanks to previous reports, everyone was expecting the presence of Intel Clover Trail+ dual-core processor in the tablet, which has now been confirmed by Intel.
Intel today issued a press release stating that Intel Atom Z2560 dual-core Clover Trail+ processor is indeed present in Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-Inch.
The company also revealed that Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch tablet will also come with Intel’s XMM 6262 3G modem or Intel’s XMM 7160 4G LTE model depending on the markets.
“Customers are selecting Intel technology because it offers the best balance of high performance, power efficiency and battery life,” Hermann Eul, Intel vice president and general manager of the company’s Mobile and Communications Group noted in a statement. “It’s ultimately about the consumer experience, and we are confident people will be pleased with what Intel Inside has to offer.”
To remind you, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch isn’t the only tablet to come with Intel’s new dual-core solution, even Asus Memo Pad FHD 10, which was unveiled at Computex yesterday also packs 1.6GHz dual-core Intel ATOM Z2560 processor.
