Samsung today announced the launch of its Galaxy S4 Mini smartphone in the Indian market at a press event in Mumbai. Priced at INR 27,900, this stripped down mini version of Galaxy S4 will go on sale in the coming days.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini features a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, 1.7GHz dual-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM. The phone also comes with Android 4.2.2, 8MP rear camera and 1.9MP front camera.
In addition, the smartphone packs 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, and 1900 mAH battery. Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will be available in White Frost and Black Mist colours.
On the software customisations front, the smartphone comes with features like Sound &Shot, Panorama Shot, S Travel, Story Album, Group Play and S Translator. The phone also sports IR Blaster along with WatchOn app, which turns Galaxy S4 Mini in a universal remote and it can be used to control televisions, set-top boxes or even DVD players.
“The Galaxy mini provides consumers with a new way to enjoy the flagship Galaxy S4 experience,” noted Manu Sharma, Director, Samsung Mobile in a press release.
The Korean manufacturer has also tied up with Reliance Communication to provide 2GB of free 3G data every month for three months to RCOM GSM users.
