NVIDIA unveiled its new reference tablet for Tegra 4 SoC in form of Tegra Note today. Designed and manufactured by NVIDIA, it will be released around the world by NVIDIA partner vendors for a price starting $199.
Some of these partner vendors are EVGA and PNY Technologies in North America; EVGA, Oysters, and ZOTAC in Europe; Colorful, Shenzhen Homecare Technology and ZOTAC in Asia- Pacific; and XOLO in India.
“It’s (Tegra Note) a complete tablet platform, designed by NVIDIA and brought to market by our partners. It embodies the NVIDIA brand – from our hardware and software (right down to OTA updates), to our industrial design, accessories and network of partners in game development,” NVIDIA stated in a press release.
Coming to the Tegra Note specifications, it features a 7-inch IPS display with 1280x800p resolution, Tegra 4 SoC, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 16GB of storage and microSD card slot. The tablet also packs a stylus, which is powered by NVIDIA DirectStylus technology, and microHDMI out.
The company has not revealed that exact version of Android present in the tablet and just states it to be the latest, so we expect to see Android 4.3 on Tegra Note.
According to NVIDIA, Tegra Note will go on sale next month via the already-mentioned partner vendors around the world.
