Twitter for Android’s upcoming redesign revealed in beta version

Twitter for AndroidTwitter has started rolling out a new app version to its beta testers earlier today. The new beta, which carries version number 5.0, has given us a look at the upcoming user-interface (UI) redesign.

The revamped Twitter for Android now includes a sliding menu (also known as hamburger navigation panel) like many other Android apps.  This sliding menu contains direct links to the different columns present on the app and shows the unread tweets from each column. You can also re-order the columns from this menu.

Also, instead of the usual four columns, the app now comes with seven columns, with the three new ones meant for Activity, Trending, and finding new people.

As this is just a beta version, chances are some features present in this version might not reach the stable version or change a bit.

If you are a part of Twitter for Android beta group, chances are that this version would have already reached your Android device. To take part in Twitter for Android beta testing, see this post.
