Meizu looks to enter US market

Meizu MX3Meizu has revealed that it is thinking of entering that US market and will be showcasing its products at Consumer Electronics Show 2014. This will be the first time that Meizu is previewing its products at a US trade fair.

“As the first step in a long-term strategy to pursue the U.S. market, MEIZU will preview its line of smartphones at CES 2014 Booth LVH#51001,” Meizu noted in a press release.

Meizu thinks that there is enough space in the US market for another smartphone player. It has not revealed on when it plans to actually enter the market but the CES debut could be seen as the first step.

“Combining the elegance and functionality of today’s smartphones with consumer-friendly pricing, MEIZU believes there’s room in the U.S. market for another player,” Meizu noted.

To remind you, Chinese smartphone vendor Meizu currently sells its smartphones in China and neighbouring territories. Its current flagship model MX3 comes with specs like Exynos 5 Octa processor, 5.1-inch FHD display, 2GB of RAM, 2400 mAh battery, and Android 4.2-based Flame OS 3.0.
