Asus has revealed on Chinese social-networking site Weibo that it will be releasing the new Zenfone line-up in China on April 11. Originally unveiled at CES in January, the Asus Zenfone smartphones are powered by Intel processors and come with some decent specifications.
Asus has not revealed the pricing of the phones for Chinese market but it is expected to be around $100 for ZenFone 4, $150 for ZenFone 5 and $200 for ZenFone 6 for $199.99, as stated by the company in the original announcement.
Talking about the individual smartphones, Asus Zenfone 4 features a 4-inch WVGA display, 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, 1170 mAh battery and 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 processor. Zenfone 5 packs a 5-inch HD display, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 1GB of RAM, 2050 mAh battery and 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 processor.
Lastly, Asus Zenfone 6 comes with 6-inch HD display, 13MP rear camera, 2MO front camera, 1GB of RAM, 3230 mAh battery and 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 processor.
On the software front, all three smartphones run on Android 4.3 but will be getting Android 4.4 updates. Asus has also included the new Zen UI on the phones, which features simplified icons, menus, and a Google Now knockoff called What’s Next.
