Videocon Mobiles has announced the launch of its new budget Android smartphone A29 in the Indian market. Targeted to the first time smartphone buyers, the phone has been priced at an affordable INR 5,799 and will go on sale in the coming days.
“The Videocon A29 comes into the market after a significant duration, which we utilized to design a better and more user-centric device. Continuing our endeavour towards innovation and bringing the best available technological advancements to our consumers, this Android Jelly Bean powered device enhances Videocon’s Mobile Phones surge in the dynamic smartphone mobile market in the country,” said Khalid Zamir, Head Product Planning & Development, Videocon Mobile Phones Division.
Featuring a faux-leather back, Videocon A29 comes with 4-inch WVGA display, Android 4.2.2, 3.2MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera and 1400 mAh battery. The phone also packs 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and 1.2GHz dual-core processor.
In addition, Videocon has included dual-SIM support, FM Radio, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the A29. It will be released in Sinful Black and Pearl White colour options.
