In addition to the refreshed Zenfone smartphones, Asus has also taken the wraps off a number of Android tablets at its Computex press event today. The newly announced tablets are a part of the company’s Fonepad-series, MeMo Pad-series and Transformer Pad-series and feature ASUS ZenUI, a 64-bit Intel Atom quad-core CPU and Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
Starting with the new Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) and Fonepad (FE375CG), the tablets come with built-in 3G and voice-calling support. They are powered by 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 1.8GHz quad-core processor and pack 1280x800p IPS display, and dual-SIM support.
According to Asus, new Fonepad tablets will be released in black, white, gold and red colour options.
Next up are Asus MeMo Pad 7 (ME176C), MeMo Pad 8 (ME181C) tablets. The new MeMo Pad tablets are powered by 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor and pack 1280x800p display. Among other specs, the tablets include 1GB of RAM, 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera.
According to the company, ASUS MeMO Pad 7 (ME176C) will be released in white, black, blue, red and yellow colours, while ASUS MeMO Pad 8 (ME181C) will retail in white, black, gold and purple colours. Both models will go on sale starting June 2014.
Asus has also introduced another MeMo Pad tablet – MeMO Pad 8 (ME581CL), which packs a 8-inch full HD 1920x1200p IPS display and is powered by 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 2.3GHz quad-core processor. In addition, the tablet packs Wi-Fi, LTE, and NFC. The tablet will retail in white, pink and blue colours.
Coming to Asus Transformer Pad TF103C and Transformer Pad TF303CL tablets, these tablets are powered by 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor and come with keyboard dock. While TF103C packs a 10.1-inch 1280x800p display and Wi-Fi support, TF303CL will include a 1920x1200p 10.1-inch display and LTE connectivity.
The Asus Transformer Pad TF103C will go on sale in white and black colour options, and the Asus Transformer Pad TF303CL will retail in blue and gold colours.
