Looks like Sony might be getting ready to release a new small tablet at the upcoming IFA trade fair in Berlin. A tablet titled Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has been sighted in the official company documents and could be arriving soon.
No details about the tablet are known at this point but it is likely be a 7 or 8-inch device with high-end specifications like the company does with Compact branded smartphones.
TechTastic.nl, which spotted the tablet in Sony documents, speculates that Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact could come with an 8-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and Android 4.4. While these specs seem plausible, it is likely that the tablet will just get 2GB of RAM.
To remind you, Sony’s IFA press event is scheduled for September 3 and we expect to hear about Z3 Tablet Compact on the same day and as always, we will bring you all the details.
