TCL Communication’s smart device brand Alcatel OneTouch has announced the addition of four new Android devices to its portfolio at the ongoing IFA trade fair in Berlin. Part of the company’s Hero and Pop 2-series, the new devices will go on sale starting September in select markets around the world.
Talking about the Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 first, this 6-inch smartphone features a full HD display, 13.1MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter and 2GHz octa-core processor. The phone also comes with Android 4.4 KitKat, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 3G and the usual set of connectivity options. The company is also bundling a stylus with the phone.
“At Alcatel OneTouch, we see the demand for large-display devices. Hero 2 answers this call and in addition, it’s the perfect device for work and play, with multiple tools to express user creativity,” said Dan Dery, ALCATEL OneTouch Chief Marketing Officer.
Coming to the new Hero 8 tablet, it packs an 8-inch 1920x1200p display, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter, 4060 mAH battery, 3G and LTE support. Among other specifications, the tablet comes with 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16/32/64GB of internal storage and Android 4.4.
Lastly, the new Pop 2-family includes Pop 2 smartphone and Pop 8S tablet. According to the company, it will be releasing three versions of the Pop 2 smartphone – normal Pop 2 with 4.5-inch display, premium Pop 2 with 4.5-inch display and premium Pop 2 with 5-inch display.
