Google brings turn-by-turn navigation to Nepal, Sri Lanka & 17 more countries

Google has silently rolled-out turn-by-turn navigation support in Maps to 19 new countries including neighbouring Nepal, Mauritius, and Sri Lanka.  The other countries include Angola, Bahamas, Bolivia, Botswana, Fiji, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Malta, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, and Trinidad and Tobago.

The Android (and iOS) users in these countries will now be able to get free spoken turn-by-turn directions in the Google Maps app. Make sure you have the latest version of the app on your device. With the latest round of expansion, Google’s Maps Navigation is now available in a total of 103 countries around the world, which is quite a feat for Google.

Chromecast reaches Hong Kong and Austria

In related news, Google has rolled-out the Chromecast streaming dongle to Austria and Hong Kong. The consumers in these countries will be able to get the device from Google Play.
