Lava on Monday released a new Android smartphone as a part of its IRIS line-up in the Indian market. Dubbed as Lava IRIS X5, the company is targeting the phone to selfies-lovers and has included a 5MP front snapper on the phone.
The smartphone will retail exclusively at Amazon.in, where it can now be ordered for INR 8,649 (MRP: INR 9,000). The retailer has listed September 4 as the shipping date for the smartphone. As a part of the launch day offer, Amazon will be bundling a 16GB microSD card slot, flip cover and screen protector with the phone with all order placed on September 1.
Coming to the specifications, the IRIS X5 sports a 5-inch 720p HD display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The phone also comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of on-board storage, microSD card slot, Android 4.4, 3G and dual-SIM support. In addition, Lava has included 8MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and 2100 mAh battery on the phone.
The phone will be released in White and Grey-Black colour options, however at the time of writing this report, only Grey-Black colour option was listed on Amazon India.
