Lava on Friday introduced its new IRIS Fuel-series of smartphones, which will targeted to the consumers, who want long-lasting batteries in their phones. The first of the series – Lava IRIS 50 – is now ready to reach the stores.
“Amidst the hardware progression that has happened ever since smartphone category was introduced, battery has remained a cause of concern with the users throughout. As smartphones are increasingly becoming a very integral part of our daily lives and drive a lot of tasks for us, we need devices that are able to support heavy usage without having the need to carry power banks for frequent charging. Lava’s product development and R&D team worked on this insight and with our new Fuel series of smartphones we will address just that,” Lava MD Hari Om Rai said about the new IRIS Fuel-series in a statement.
The Fuel 50 smartphone will go on sale beginning today at all major retail outlets for INR 7,799 in Black colour option.
Coming to the specifics, the phone packs a 3000 mAh battery and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The IRIS Fuel 50 also comes with 5-inch FWVGA display, Android 4.4, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. In addition, the company has included 8MP rear camera with BSI II sensor, 2MP front camera, dual-SIM support, and scratch-resistant glass on the phone.
On the software front, the enhancements such as double-tap to wake, gesture support and more are present on Fuel 50.
