Asus has unveiled the new Pegasus X002 smartphone in the Chinese market. A close-cousin to the company’s Zenfone-series, the new smartphone will go on sale in the country beginning December 29 for 799 yuan at e-retailer Suning.
The Asus X002 sports a 5-inch 720p HD IPS display and is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6732 processor. The phone also comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 4G TD LTE support, and 2050 mAh battery. In addition, Asus has included 8MP f2.0 rear camera with LED flash, 5MP f2.2 front shooter, and Android 4.4 on the Pegasus X002.
According to Asus website, the phone will be available in Black and White colour options.
There is no word on the global release and it seems unlikely as the company already offer similar smartphones in its Zenfone-series in other markets.
