Lenovo has introduced a new P70 smartphone in its home market of China. Otherwise a normal mid-range Android smartphone, Lenovo P70 attempts to shine in the crowded smartphone market with its mammoth 4000 mAh battery.
Although the battery is non-removable, Lenovo claims that thanks to its large-capacity, the battery will last up to three days. It also supports quick charge functionality and with just 15 minutes of charge, you will get enough juice to last two hours of web browsing or one hour of gaming or watching videos.
Among other specifications, the phone features a 5-inch 720p HD IPS display, 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. Lenovo P70 also packs a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front snapper, 4G LTE and Android 4.4 with Vibe UI.
According to Lenovo, P70 has been priced at 1,399 yuan and will retail both online and offline in China. There is no word on the global availability at this point, but we did spot the phone at couple of Lenovo’s Eastern European country websites, suggesting a wider release.
