ZTE on Thursday introduced the new nubia Z9 max and Z9 mini smartphones at a press event in Beijing, China. The successors to the company’s Z7 max and Z7 mini, the new phones include a metal frame and glass on both front and back, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S6.
According to ZTE, the nubia Z9 Max will retail at 2499 yuan and Z9 Mini has been priced at 1499 yuan. The pre-bookings for both phones are now open at nubia.cn.
Coming to the specifications, the nubia Z9 Max sports a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display and is powered by 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. The phone also packs Android 5.0 with nubia UI 2.8, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and 2900 mAh battery.
On the imaging front, the phone includes 16MP f2.0 rear camera and 8MP front shooter. In addition, ZTE has added Dolby 7.1 Surround sound support, NFC, USB-OTG, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE.
nubia Z9 Mini, on the other hand, features a 5-inch full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, and 2GB of RAM. Rest of the specification of the phone are same as Z9 Max. Z9 Mini, however, will come with the option to select from a number of back-covers options like Wood, Leather, and Denim.
