LG’s premium new smartwatch ‘Watch Urbane’ is now on sale in the United States. It is available at the Google Store with a price-tag of $349. The watch comes in Silver and Gold colour options and will start shipping May 8.
LG Watch Urbane is made of stainless steel with a round watch-face and comes with a premium leather band. It runs on the latest version of Android Wear platform and features 1.3-inch P-OLED display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB storage. The smartwatch is also water/ dust resistant and packs a 410 mAh battery.
The US launch of the LG Watch Urbane comes a month after LG began selling the device in its home market South Korea.
Meanwhile, a set of leaked images have appeared online, which suggest that LG Watch Urbane will be available via telecom operator Verizon beginning later today. The telco is yet to make an official announcement, but if the leak is indeed accurate, we hope to hear from Verizon later today.
In related news, LG’s Watch R, which was the first round smartwatch from the company, has received a price-cut at Google Store, probably to mark the arrival of the Watch Urbane. The Watch R will now be available at $249, down from $299.
