The company on Friday announced that it is ready to launch its first 4G LTE smartphone in the country. The new Micromax Canvas Knight 2 is not only the company’s first 4G phone, but it is also the latest flagship model for the company.
Priced at INR 16,299, the Canvas Knight 2 will go on sale beginning June 10 in the country.

Over the next few months, we are all set to launch a series of 4G LTE enabled devices across a range of price points each addressing unique needs of the Indian consumer. Our popular series of Canvas Fire, Unite, Nitro will gradually move to 4G offerings. With a comprehensive portfolio of quality 4G LTE enabled devices, we are confident of propelling the next wave of mobile internet ecosystem in the country,” said Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax Informatics.

Other specifications of the phone include 13MP primary camera, 5MP front shooter, 2260 mAh battery and the usual connectivity options.
The Micromax Canvas Knight 2 will be competing with the likes of Xiaomi Mi 4, Mi 4i, Asus Zenfone 2, Lenovo Vibe X2, and OnePlus One in the country.
